Clear Story collaborated with Strada to design the exterior courtyard illumination at Google’s expanded Pittsburgh headquarters, creating a landscape experience defined by warmth, materiality, and quiet animation. Custom wood bollards and light poles echo the sustainable hardwood seating that extends over the central water feature, while an irregular constellation of in-grade LEDs brings subtle movement to the pedestrian bridge. Together, the natural materials and carefully calibrated light create a memorable arrival and a courtyard that feels welcoming, atmospheric, and alive throughout the day.
